Grade 9 Farewell

May 31, 2021

Dear Parents and Guardians of Grade 9 Students:

Farewell, a school celebration honouring our grade nine students, is planned for June 18th, 2021, during the school day. Unfortunately, due to current restrictions in place, Farewell activities will look different than in previous years.

At this time, the following activities are being planned:

➢ Live Streamed Mass with Father Roger @ 9:00 am (search for Sacred Heart Catholic Church - Wetaskiwin Facebook; this is a public page and you do not have to have Facebook to join in on the Mass) or click on the following link - https://www.facebook.com/sacredheartwetaskiwin/

➢ Drive-up opportunity for a professional picture of your grade 9 student at the front of the school, receiving their Farewell certificate at the following times:

○ 9Be - 11:30 to 12:30 pm
■ 11:30-12:00 students with last names starting A - M
■ 12:00-12:30 students with last names starting N - Z

○ 9M & Online Students - 1:15 to 2:15 pm
■ 1:15-1:45 students with last names starting A - M
■ 1:45-2:15 students with last names starting N - Z

Please remember that due to current restrictions, we cannot allow for students and families to gather on the school grounds. If you are early, we respectfully request that you wait patiently in your vehicle to give the other students time to get their photos completed. We will have a staff member available to direct you.

We are very fortunate to have Ms. Jodi Eaton donating her photography services this year. She will take a photo of each of the students receiving their Farewell certificate as well as a family photo that can be booked with her for after school hours. More information on how to book a family photo with her will follow.

A fun day of food, fellowship and festivities for our grade 9 students is also being planned for Monday, June 28. Further details will follow from Mrs. Mastel and Mr. Bennett. We look forward to celebrating your child!

Yours in Christ,

The Farewell Committee
