Grade 9 Farewell

Farewell, a school celebration honouring the grade 9 students, is planned for Friday, June 10th, 2022.
Farewell consists of the following activities:

➢ Mass: celebrated with Father Roger at Sacred Heart Church (5113-49 Avenue, Wetaskiwin). This is a family mass, also opened to staff of the school and the parish community. Students are expected to sit with their families at mass. (5:30 to 6:30)

➢ Class picture: A class picture is taken in The Way at the school immediately following mass by a
professional photographer. The picture is displayed in the school; as well, each grade 9 student will
receive a 5x7 copy. (6:45 - 7:00)

➢ Farewell Tribute: A presentation of Farewell certificates, as well as various speeches honouring the
grade 9s will be held in the East Gym of the school. (7:10 – 8:15)

➢ Finger Food Buffet: served following the Farewell Tribute. The buffet is offered to all grade nines and their families/guests who have purchased a ticket (see fee guide below) (8:15 – 8:45)

➢ Dance: A DJ will provide music for the Farewell dance in the East Gym. This dance is open to all junior high students of the school. Parents must be in attendance if their grade 9 student brings an approved guest from another school. The dance ends at 11:00 pm and all parents must pick up their children at the front entrance of the school at the end of the dance. (8:45 – 11:00)
Cost for students who participate in the Butler Day Auction: $20/each ticket (5 years of age and older); a ticket must be purchased for the grade 9 student as well.

Cost for students who DID NOT participate in the Butler Day Auction: $40.00 + $20/each ticket (5
years of age and older); a ticket must be purchased for the grade 9 student as well.

Tickets are now available in SchoolCash Online, and must be purchased before May 15th.
